About me

 

Hi! I’m Junhua. I teach Math. Mathematics has been my passion since childhood and continues to be so. In 1996, I competed in the High School Students Mathematics Olympics and finished second. This paved the path for me to pursue higher education in mathematics, and I was even awarded scholarships and grants to support my studies and research. Fortunately, I received the opportunity to present my research work at multiple prestigious platforms. My teaching journey began as a lecturer 15 years ago when I chose to teach College Algebra. Over the years, I have taught students from diverse backgrounds. Many of them have built successful professions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.). I also really enjoy teaching Discrete Math and Calculus to students and even undertook different workshops over the years to hone my teaching skills. To be able to help a wider range of students globally, I chose to teach online and guide students one on one.

Teaching Experience

 

The first factor that can help students score good grades is the quality of perseverance. But, if you combine perseverance with great guidance then the student just doesn't score good grades but masters the subject and pushes boundaries to fearlessly take newer challenges. I love introducing the different concepts in math and making learning multi-faceted with the help of diagrams, and references of real-world applications to give perspectives. Many times, I get to meet students who do not have a heavy math background but need to learn it for computers and business studies. So, I make sure I help them out with basics and get them to practice solving a good number of problems.
