Hello! I’m Pavithra and I teach Biology. I have a strong interest in Biology and I love teaching school and college students about this subject. The beauty of Biology is that you get to know about what happens in your own body, how the plants and animals around you function, and your interrelationship with them. So, it is a core subject for students to understand. I have been teaching offline as well as online for the last 2 years. What adds to my classes besides my academic qualifications is my hands-on experience during internships, working on college projects, and exchanging views about Biology topics on national platforms with erudite Biotechnologists.
Anatomy, Animalia, Basics of Cell Biology, Basics of Ecology , Basics of Genetics , Basics of Human Physiology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology , Ecology, Evolution, Genetics , Human Physiology , Immunology, Life Sciences, Living World
My teaching style varies based on my student needs and their learning style. I try to keep the explanation of any topic crisp and clear and leverage a variety of tools including diagrams and flowcharts to explain concepts. To solidify their learning, I sometimes test them on diagrams through the whiteboard and ask them to name different parts. At other times, I indulge them in multiple-choice questions. If they are not quite close to answering the question, I help them with hints. I also share tips on answering questions that demand detailed explanations about the processes. Finally, I know that my mission is achieved when my students learn well and perform well on their exams.
Science is my favorite subject. I am sure that I'll deliver quality content on these topics to enlighten the students.
My core subjects in 11th and 12th standard include biology, physics, chemistry. Of which, biology is my favorite. I am sure that I'll deliver quality content on these topics to enlighten the students.
I know about digestive, respiratory, endocrine, skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, urinary, nervous, lymphatic, reproductive systems. I can teach students all these body systems in an interesting and understandable way.
The animal kingdom is a very huge topic. I have enough knowledge about the different phyla and kingdoms of the animal family.
The 5 kingdom classification is all about; monera, protista, fungi, plantae, and animalia. I know about this topic and will explain students in a better way
I can handle 1st to 6th class physics.
I can handle elementary-level chemistry and periodic table facts.
In my bachelors and masters, I had a subject on environmental sciences and biology.
My bachelors in biotechnology has this subject and I have scored good grades in this subject.
The diversity of organisms is dealt with this topic which I will explain to you clearly in my classes
Identification, nomenclature and classification is referred to as taxonomy. My 12th class has a lesson on this.
I have a separate unit on plant physiology in my 11th class which deals with transport, nutrition, photosynthesis, respiration, growth, and development of plants
Human physiology is all about our body and its functions. Different body systems and its mechanism are studied in this topic.
Genetics is the study of genes. Mendelian genetics is well known on this topic. Genetics seems to be tough but actually, it is fun learning.
Evolution is a topic in my class 12 biology subject. I have a good understanding on this topic.
Since I am a Biotechnologist, my core stream is life sciences. I have good academic knowledge of different subjects such as microbiology, cell biology, enzymology, plant and animal biotechnology, immunology, cancer biology, etc.
I have knowledge on this topic.
Mendelian genetics is the basis of genetics. I can able to teach this topic.
How cells were created? Who found plant and animal cell? And many more questions like this will be solved by me while teaching this topic.
Human physiology is very much fun both teaching and learning. This is all about understanding your own body.
Kingdom Animalia has about 11 classification (phylum) such as porifera, coelenterata, Ctenophora, Platyhelminthes, Aschelminthes, annelida, arthropoda, mollusca, echinodermata, hemichordata, chordata. We will be learning about these in detail.
Zoology is the subject that deals with animals. Anatomy and physiology of animals and human, Evolution of organisms, etc will be covered in this topic.
Being a Biotechnology student, I have studied microbiology in the 2nd semester of my bachelor's degree. The study that deals with microscopic organisms is an interesting topic to learn and study.
My specialization in both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees is biotechnology. I am sure that I can provide justice to students by teaching them this subject in a more understandable and fun way
Human anatomy is very much interesting and confusing. I will teach this topic more clearly.
Immunology is knowing our body's immune system and immunity. Many cell types are required and involved in producing immunity to the body. My UG and PG project has some links to immunology. Cell culturing, techniques, stem cell isolation, embryology, cancer biology are some of the areas related to my project.
