About me

Hi! My name is Saranya and I am a statistics teacher. I love the different statistical concepts & as an online stats tutor, I share tips and best ways to solve complex stats problems with my students. I chose to study Statistics due to its applications in myriad fields. During my internship days, I got the chance to apply my knowledge to diverse fields like calculating the profit analysis of hotels and measuring the survival rates for Tuberculosis patients. That made me value this subject profusely and made me want to share this knowledge with others. I love to teach both types of students, ones who have a keen interest in numbers and want to advance their knowledge about this subject as well as students who fear this subject. My approach towards both types of students is vastly different but the end result is the same and that is falling in love with statistics and improving grades.

Basic Statistics, Theory of Probability, Simple Random Sampling, Stratified Random Sampling, Systematic Sampling, Cluster Sampling, Double Sampling, Charts and Diagrams, Variance, Standard Deviation, Skewness, Kurtosis, Percentiles and Quartiles, Tree Diagrams, Coefficient of Variance

Teaching Experience

My classes are full of practical examples like how to calculate the average daily expenses for a month and how to make useful analyses from it. Many times, I ask my students to observe things around them throughout the day and relate statistical principles to them. The purpose is to train them to think like a statistician. Apart from that, I help students understand how to use statistics in computer programming languages like R, in machine learning, and in SAS. Count on me to understand statistics in simple ways and to learn to solve problems methodically.
