About me

I am a PhD student in Mathematics. My PhD dissertation included the interplay between Graph Theory and Linear Algebra. I am interested in cars, soccer and mathematical finance. I enjoy using mathematical software to understand stock markets. I am also interested in modelling real life networks using graph theory.

Teaching Experience

Being a PhD student, I work as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and have been teaching students in my University for the last 5 years. I have also been associated with different tutoring sites for the last couple of years. I believe in an interactive mode of teaching. My students say I make mathematics very simple for them. Rather than giving away direct answers, I first gauge the background of the students, I then explain the concept and also provide them hints so that they can come up with their own solutions. This method of teaching has worked wonders and my students say they find my mode of teaching very helpful. I also like to use mathematical software to solve a problem and it helps my students to visualise a problem sometimes.

As already mentioned, I teach students Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra, Matrix Theory to undergraduate and postgraduate students as a part of my teaching assignment.

I have been teaching Differential Calculus, Real Analysis to 1st year students of Bachelor of Science. I conduct quizzes on these topics so that my students can have a better grasp on these topics.

I have been teaching Integral Calculus to 1st year students of Bachelor of Science. I conduct quizzes on these topics so that my students can have a better grasp on these topics.
