Teaching Experience

Over the course of my life, I had mentored and guided friends, juniors and colleagues at different times of my life. I have always been looking for opportunities where I can help people improve in any domain based on my previous experience and expertise in that area.

During my undergraduate studies at IIT Kharagpur, I had participated in Student Mentorship Program under which I helped my juniors understand the concepts of Programming and Data structures, starting from the basics (since many of them did not have any prior experience with these topics) and guiding them through practical exercises to help attain a good level of proficiency on the subject.

I was also a part of Robotics club of my college in which I helped juniors understand the theoretical aspects of robotics and gain hands-on experience through a week long workshop, and continued guiding them later on. I had also guided teams that planned to participate in international robotics competitions such as FIRA.

Apart from technical subjects, I have also helped my juniors participating in intra-college competitions improve their public speaking and presentation skills.

Extracurricular Interests

I have explored a variety of different fields during my school and college years. Since high school, I have had a keen interest in mathematics and as a result I have qualified Regional Mathematics Olympiad. During my college years, I was involved with the robotics club and have represented my college at national and international competitions. I have also explored fields like computer science, operations research and financial markets. In my free time, I like to go for a swim. I enjoy playing badminton, cricket and chess. I am also an avid trekker and love exploring new trails with different groups of people.

Top subjects

Integral Calculus: The best part of calculus is the different kind of tricks used which can solve even the toughest of the problems in a very short time. During my high school time, I used to hep my classmates with calculus problems.

Basic Statistics: I had a classroom course in statistics during my undergraduate studies. I realize that in study of statistics, it is very important to understand the correlation with the real world and will help my students understand the same.

Physics: I always enjoyed studying physics and was the class topper during high school. During my college holidays, I helped high school students prepare for college entrance examinations where physics is one of the main subjects.

Arduino Programming: As a part of my college robotics club, I have made some great gadgets and bots which have their core control logic on arduino. A few examples include electronically controlled wall climber and autonomous robots that play soccer.

Signals and Systems: I have a major in communication engineering and signals and systems formed an integral part of my undergraduate coursework. A good understanding of signals and systems helps to break down complex electrical systems into very simple mathematical equations.

Digital Electronics: Digital electronics is one of my favorite subjects. I scored a perfect score in mid semester exam during college and got a good overall grade. During senior year,I taught this subject to my juniors who went on to score good grades.
