I have been tutoring :College algebra, Financial Accounting, Statistics for Business and Management at the Community College of Philadelphia since January 2011. My summer 2016 schedule is Monday through Thursday 4:30 to 6:30. I do one to one session or 3-4 group session. I use real life example to make students understand: to explain linear equation I use bank saving account transaction as example: you withdraw $200 now your ending balance is $400, what was your beginning balance? . I attend training sessions on a regular basis. Because of my seniority, they want me to assist new tutors. I also help students in time management, notes taking skills and organization skills.
In my personal life, I am a well organized person: I plan all my activities: my organization skill had helped me managed two part-time jobs and earned a Bachelor Degree in 4 years. My hobbies: I love music, I play keyboard and guitar. I learned to play those instruments by myself,I love action movies, I love soccer, basketball, volleyball and tennis, I love to travel to discover new places.
Algebra: Algebra is my biggest strength. I tutor algebra without using book. I am very comfortable with Algebra. I make up my own exercise
Fractions: I know my divisibility rules very well. When a number is divisible by 3, 4, 5 ,8 9, 10 etc. Students need to know that to reduce fraction
Decimals: To Multiply decimal numbers by 10 just move the comma one place to the right. To divide, move the comma one decimal to the left. 100 : 2 places. 1000: 3 places
Assets and Liabilities: Assets are economics resources that a company can use to generate revenues. Assets can be the company's own resources: no debt on them. An equipment that a company buy on credit to produce goods is an asset but also a liability, because the company owes money on this equipment: debit equipment and credit liabilities
Income Statement: This is the simplest financial statement: Revenue minus Expenses= Income before tax
Adjusting Entries: A company needs to adjust its entries before doing its financial statement in order to have accurate information
Your Score: A
Tutor was so intelligent that could make me understand so easily.
